Hi, I’m Tim Wilson, an executive/life coach, leadership developer, and occasional programmer when I’ve got an itch to scratch. (Check out my Projects page for some recent work.) I did my coaching training with the Newfield Network.

Before starting ALG, I was the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Edupoint. Edupoint makes the Synergy student information system (SIS) and related products.

I was also the Chief Technology Officer for ISD 279 – Osseo Area Schools near Minneapolis in Minnesota, USA for nine years. I worked in public education for over 20 years as a high school science teacher, technology integrator, and school district leader.

I’m a professional archer and USA Archery Level 3 Coach who competes in local, state, and national tournaments. I’ve been the president of the Minnesota Archers Alliance (MAA) since 2015. The MAA is the Minnesota affiliate of USA Archery, the National Field Archery Association, and S3DA. You can view my archery resume online.

Things I’m Into #

My main programming language is Python, but I like R too for statistical modeling. My favorite website buildings tools are Django, Hugo, and Next.js. PostgreSQL is awesome, though I find myself using SQLite more these days. My programming environment is mostly PyCharm, WebStorm, and BBEdit running on an M1 MacBook Pro usually in Docker containers.

OK Archery makes great bows. I’m an NFAA senior pro and am proud to be on the OK Archery U.S. staff team. I’m also on the Flex-Fletch staff as a sponsored archer. UltraView is a client of mine and a maker of fine archery products.
